Dua lipa is an English musician and singer born August 22, 1995 from London United Kingdom. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017 following her joined Warner Bros Records. It peaked in at the number three spot at the top of the U.K. charts for albums and featured eight singles with the most notable being U.K. top ten hit song New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards in 2018 in two categories: British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act, and British. You can celebrate her special day right here. Dua Lipa was conceived in London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian origin. There is also a trace of Lipa's family tree back to Peja from Kosovo. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. Gjin as well as Rina are her siblings. Lipa was influenced musically by her father the guitarist and singer in the Kosovan rock band Oda. The music played by her father was at home, including songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing at age five. When she was in her 9th year she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa sang Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful, and If Ain't Get You by Alicia Keys. Lipa was signed to Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. The first single she released was New Love was released in August of 2015.
